Product Development Goes Social

Announcing New Register Patterns

For nearly four decades, Reggio Register was the source for traditional register designs. When the Made to Order collection came on the scene in 2019, that began to shift. Registers with more contemporary designs became a part of the offering alongside the vintage reproductions.

A register can be a defining detail, or even major feature, in today’s designs. That’s why it was time for a new era of registers that could offer something totally different. The newer register designs took familiar favorites (like hexagons, chevrons, and basketweaves) and gave them a contemporary update ready for placement in today’s designs.

Turning to Social Media

Adding fresher looks wasn’t the only new approach employed in our latest product development. In an unprecedented move, the team decided to ask social media followers to select their favorites from eight different designs. Engaging with our customers in this way proved fruitful. We learned about their preferences and provided the looks our customers really want to add to their designs.

The two new designs social media selected and named include: Pinwheel and Mosaic. They both add to a sense of updated style in a new generation of registers. Pinwheel takes a classic basketweave and transforms it with fresh angles and rotating lines. Mosaic is a series of segmented hexagons and trapezoids arranged geometrically in a way that reminds one of a modern sort of stained glass window.

Styling Pinwheel & Mosaic

The blend of the vintage alongside trending patterns makes these registers a perfect match for today’s hottest designs. These fresh designs will pair well in a modern space that favors geometrics or just as easily feature in a contemporary farmhouse.

They can stand out in contrast as a feature of the room or blend into a background of well-chosen details. Either way, your registers will be far from ordinary.
