THIS WILL BE RECESSED IN THE FLOOR SO I WILL JUST CUT GROOVES IN THE CONCRETE SO THE GRATE WILL HAVE MORE SUPPORT AND IF ANY WATER WERE TO OVERFLOW IT WILL FOLLOW THE GROOVES TO THE DRAIN HOLE THANKS FOR THE INFO
The item # without screw holes is G1212-SBNH. The steel will rust over time being in contact with moisture. If you need any other information, let us know. Thank you!
HAVE A UTILITY ROOM THAT HAS A CONCRETE FLOOR THAT WHEN THE HOUSE WAS BUILT HAD LINOLEUM COVERED FLOOR WHEN IT WAS REMOVED TO STAIN FLOOR WHERE DRAIN WAS INSET IN MIDDLE OF ROOM THE FLOOR WAS LEVELED WITH PATCH CONCRETE AND WILL NOT STAIN SAME SHADE AS REST OF FLOOR WE ARE LOOKING AT YOUR PRODUCT G1616-SBNH WE ARE LOOKING TO CUT OUT FLOOR AND INSET THIS IN FLOOR AND NEED TO KNOW IF IT WOULD BE ABLE TO HANDLE FOOT TRAFFIC
Our model G1212-SBH is made in 3/16" thick steel. It will withstand walking weight. If you were to stand in the center and not move, you may feel some flex. You could run a support down the center for extra support. Are you planning on recessing this into your floor or screwing it into place. This item specified, G1212-SBH, has screw holes.
